An alternative solution would be to find a two or three bedroom flat in one of these postcode areas and then to split the rent 50 / 50. There is a very considerable difference between a one-bedroom flat which can be obtained at a cost of £ 1,000.00 pcm. and a two-bedroom flat which could cost £ 1,500.00 pcm. divided in the way which I have suggested. The second bedroom would be useful to you as a spare bedroom as well as for providing you with secure storage space for other domestic items which you may need from time-to-time.
